Kimbe Meat Co,
Proposed Micro-Abattoir

GRABBEN GULLEN | NSW

PROJECTS

Kimbe Farm

Holding Ground is supporting a fourth-generation family farm business, as it explores a proposed micro-abattoir at Grabben Gullen, in the Upper Lachlan region of NSW. The project is currently in the planning and consultation phase.

The proposed facility would give regional producers greater access to local processing — reducing the distance and cost involved in getting livestock to an abattoir, and supporting more direct, paddock-to-plate supply chains for the region.

As part of this process, we hosted a community information session to share details of the proposal, answer questions, and hear feedback from local producers and residents. Materials from that session — including the presentation and key points raised — are available on request for local producers and landholders.

We’re currently running a Producer Survey to better understand locals’ needs and potential use of the facility. This will help inform the final design. Please use the link below to access the survey.

We'll continue to update this page as the project progresses through planning and consultation.
